Well Read was appointed to work with a web design agency to refresh the website for St Matthews Healthcare.
The project involved establishing a tone of voice and key messages for the client which would reinforce the ethos of the organisation on every page. We also refined their Mission and Values in liaison with senior managers.
We undertook interviews with a range of staff to fully understand the services provided ranging from their specialist rehabilitation service for people with Acquired Brain Injury, to their catering provision for nursing homes, which involves a personalised approach to ensure that each individual’s dietary needs, cultural and personal preferences are met.
Our extensive experience of the health and care sector meant that we were well placed to interrogate staff about the interventions for different types of health needs and how this reflected national policy and practice. Our understanding of the Safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act, as well as of the role of the Care Quality Commission, was integral to this process.
We worked closely with the web developer and SEO specialist to ensure that all web copy contained relevant key words and was of optimum length. The website can be viewed here.
Following on from the web refresh we were commissioned to produce a marketing brochure for Hawthorn House in Coventry, a new home for people with mental health needs including dementia and brain injury rehabilitation. This involved close liaison with the lead consultant in brain injury rehabilitation and the Care Manager.
Karishma Manwari, project manager (consultant), St Matthews Healthcare:
“Kate was a pleasure to work with. She did a lot of research and came up with the correct tone of voice. She got in touch with our care managers, our web development team and our art director which resulted as an amazing copy for our new website. She also prepared forms for our patients and managers to fill out which helped us gather the information in a much better manner.
I would highly recommend Kate to all of you as she takes complete ownership of the project and you don’t have to worry about anything at all. Thank you, Kate! Looking forward to a long-lasting collaboration.”
